Bridgepointe at Village Manor opens

Village Manor this week opened the community’s first continuous care facility for people who need constant care.

The expansion, called Bridgepointe, is a three-story structure on Westen Street in Bowling Green that offers three levels of care – assisted living, senior assisted living, which provides additional support, and memory care, which assists residents with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease, according to Linda Johnson, director of clinical support services.

Comparing the range of services offered to a buffet, Keith Knapp, president and CEO of Christian Care Communities, Village Manor’s parent company, said the expansion allows residents with changing needs to get the appropriate level of care without having to be moved to a new facility.
