Denise Mitchell – Marketing Director
Having been a part of Christian Care Communities for thirteen years, Denise represents Village Manor to the Bowling Green community and beyond. As Marketing Director, she is responsible for coordinating and promoting outreach projects and activities, helping area seniors discover the Village Manor lifestyle. Denise conducts group activities and marketing events within and outside the Village Manor community, building enthusiasm for our way of life and rapport within the local market.
Prior to serving as Marketing Director, Denise gathered support for Christian Care Communities as a Regional Development Associate, cultivating relationships with companies and individuals and coordinating employee giving campaigns and annual fundraisers. As a Program Service Coordinator, Denise helped to develop the senior adult wellness center and organized activities and special outings for Independent Living and Long Term Care residents, creating a unique and engaging lifestyle for those who call Village Manor home. Before joining Christian Care Communities, Denise worked as a realtor for Century 21 in Decatur, Alabama. She has also worked as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer since 1984.
April Hinton – Community Relations Manager
April brings years of hospitality experience to the Village Manor team. After travelling across the country as a hotel manager, she was recruited by Holiday Retirement to become the Sales Manager for two Independent Living communities in Louisville, KY, and in Nashville, TN. While serving in this position, April received the 'Touch of Excellence' Award for showing outstanding care and compassion to residents and their families. As Community Relations Manager, she continues to show the same compassion to the residents of Village Manor, ensuring that the needs of each resident and family member are graciously met. April is a Glasgow, KY, native and graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. She lives with her husband, Johnathan, her son, Michael, and dog, Bandit, in Bowling Green. She enjoys reading and writing poetry and discovering new hobbies, such as hunting and fishing.
